Our Executive Chef, Richard Decker
Richard Decker has worked his entire life in the food business. Originally from Houston, his first job was at a local meat market at age 12 and he worked at a grocery store deli until he was 18. He also worked at Victoria's Station and The Stables Steakhouse cooking and waiting tables, and he spent about eight years working as an area manager for Souper Salad's original location in Houston, which included a few years managing several stores in Austin. Before opening his first restaurant, he was the Director of Distributor Sales for a major food brokerage company, Institutional Sales Associates (ISA), which presented over 40 food manufacturers with combined annual sales totaling more than $75 million.
Decker attended the Conrad Hilton School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston from 1984-1987.
